Jade Louise from Derbyshire grew up with cars in her veins, thanks to her father, whose Ford Sierra ignited her lifelong passion for the brand. “My dad always had Fords before he died,” she shares. “I guess my love for them came from him.” For Jade, her Mk3 Focus Zetec S isn’t just a car—it’s a tribute to her father’s legacy.

Working in aerospace, where speed and power are part of her daily life, Jade’s love for fast, loud, and beautifully engineered machines naturally extends to her Ford. She’s been obsessed with cars since she was just four years old, and today, her Focus Zetec S is a rolling representation of her creativity, hard work, and passion.

While the twin-exit exhaust required modifications to her rear splitter, the final look and sound make the effort worth it. “It was a learning curve, but it looks great now,” Jade recalls proudly.

For Jade, her Focus is more than just a weekend project—it’s her daily drive and conversation starter. “I daily my Focus, so it comes with me to the office and back,” she explains. “It’s often the talking point of conversations and has even become recognized when out and about.”

A highlight of her journey was attending TheDriversHQ Ford night, where her Focus was prominently featured in a YouTube video. “There were definitely better cars than mine,” Jade admits, “but seeing mine featured made me feel immensely proud.”

Breaking Barriers as a Female Enthusiast

Jade’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. “Being a female is hard enough in this community,” she shares, citing how it can be difficult to be taken seriously in the male-dominated world of car enthusiasts. Yet, with the support of her Ford Hoonz family, Jade continues to prove that passion knows no gender.

“The Hoonz family are amazing,” Jade says. “I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be involved with. They’re so supportive and caring—it genuinely feels like a big family.”

Future Plans and Final Thoughts

Jade isn’t done with her Focus yet. She has big plans, including upgrading with the Collins Performance CP2E module and other supporting mods to enhance performance.

Her advice for others? “Do what makes you happy. Forget what other people think because people are going to hate you anyway, so you might as well enjoy yourself. We’re going to be the last people enjoying these cars, so make the most of it.”
