Ford Fam Feature: Chandler & the Bold Yellow MSTRD ST

Meet Chandler and his bold yellow 2014 Focus ST, “MSTRD”—a facelifted, turbo-blowin’ daily that’s as aggressive as it is personal. Built by hand, driven with pride, and modded for more to come—this street beast is just getting started. #MSTRD

Location: [Florida, USA]

When it comes to owning your build and turning heads with it—Chandler and his 2014 Focus ST, lovingly dubbed “MSTRD,” are making their mark one mod at a time.

🍋 From Family Ford to Full Throttle Fun

Chandler’s Ford journey began with inspiration close to home—his dad’s old ZX3 sparked a lifelong love for the brand. Now, as a full-time electrician, Chandler’s trade allows him to fuel his side passion: building a hot hatch that’s as bold in attitude as it is in looks.

💪 The Build: From 2014 to Facelifted Fierceness

MSTRD started life as a 2014 Focus ST, but Chandler wasn’t content with stock. The first major transformation? Swapping to the facelifted 2015 front end—giving the car a much more aggressive stance.

Key Mods Include:

  • 2015 ST Front Bumper Conversion
  • TurboSmart Blow-Off Valve
  • Lowering Springs for a sharper stance
  • Aftermarket rims for extra flair
  • Currently pushing 285hp
  • 0-60mph in around 4.5–5 seconds

While torque numbers aren’t confirmed, Chandler’s Focus has the bite to match the bark.

🔧 From DIY Spirit to Grocery Store Fame

Every wrench turn on MSTRD has been Chandler’s own. From the upgrades to fixing what the previous owner “jerry-rigged,” it’s been a personal journey. His proudest moment? Pulling up at BJs to grab groceries and having a store worker come out just to ask about the build.

“That made my day,” Chandler says. “It’s wild how something as simple as a car can spark conversation.”

🔮 What’s Next?

The mod list isn’t finished. Up next?

  • New wheels
  • Underglow
  • More subtle cosmetic tweaks
  • And eventually… a big turbo setup 😈

It’s not about chasing trends, Chandler says—it’s about making the car yours.

💬 Advice from Chandler

His advice to the Ford Fam?

“Just do it.”

And when asked about what he’d tell others looking to build their own cars?

“Don’t listen to hate. It’s your build. Drive safe. Don’t do stupid sh*t.”

🎯 Ford Life = Daily Life

MSTRD isn’t a garage queen—it’s Chandler’s daily. He drives it, enjoys it, and lives it. And while he hasn’t joined a club or hit a ton of meets yet, that’s all on the horizon.

🏁 Final Words

Owning a car is one thing—owning the process of transforming it into something uniquely yours is something else entirely. Chandler proves you don’t need a shop team or deep pockets to make a build stand out. Just a plan, some patience, and a passion for the road ahead.

Ford Fam, meet MSTRD. Bold, bright, and built by hand.
