FORD FAM FEATURE: MORAY SEROKE – SOUTH AFRICA’S SHOWBOAT FIESTA

Johannesburg’s Moray Seroke brings flair to the Fiesta ST scene with a show-ready wrap, grassroots spirit, and a build made to stand out before it takes off.

Driver Introduction

Name: Moray Seroke
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Profession: Office Manager

Moray’s passion for cars was ignited back in 2003 when he first laid eyes on a Mazda RX-8. That early fascination grew into a love for turbocharged performance, first experienced behind the wheel of a 1.0L Ford Focus. But his heart was always set on something more intense. After years of considering his options, he pulled the trigger on a Fiesta ST—and hasn’t looked back since. The ST didn’t just satisfy his craving for performance—it inspired his sister to get one too.

The Vehicle: 2013 Ford Fiesta ST

Nickname: None (but far from forgettable)
Build Goal: Track-focused build with show car presence

Moray’s ST isn’t just another hot hatch. It’s wrapped to stand out before it even gets loud, a visual declaration of intent. While the mods so far are light under the hood, this car is already making waves with a custom cone filter and eye-catching looks that grab attention on and off the track.

Modifications & Performance

Engine & Performance:

  • Cone Air Filter
  • 182 HP / 177 lb-ft Torque
  • 0–60 in 6.9 seconds
  • Quarter Mile: 14.5 seconds

Suspension & Brakes:

  • Factory Suspension & Brakes
  • Aftermarket Wheels (came with the car)

This build is all about laying the visual groundwork for future upgrades. With a Stage 1 tune next on the list, Moray is slowly building up a package that’ll look as good as it drives.

Challenges & Motivation

Funding the build and sourcing the right parts hasn’t been easy—but Moray stays focused on the bigger picture. Whether it’s long commutes or event weekends, he finds joy in the daily details. His advice to others?

“Do it, no matter how long or expensive it takes. If you love doing it, keep at it.”

One moment that stands out came at a local meet when someone walked up and said, “The most famous STs in the province.” That was the kind of validation that reminds you—you’re building something special.

The Road Ahead

  • Stage 1 Tune incoming
  • Long-term goal: Track experience and dialed-in performance
  • Event presence continues with FiST.Mk7crew & ST-1crew

Community Message

“Continue loving your cars. They are the last of their kind—so enjoy every moment with them.”

For Moray, the ST brand is more than just a badge. It’s a lifestyle, a gateway to friendship, and a reminder that sometimes, it’s the drive to and from work that makes it all worth it.

Closing Quote

“Ford made THE BEST hot hatches.”

We’re proud to feature Moray’s Fiesta ST—a car that’s still in its early stages, but already a head-turner. This is what Ford Fam is all about: passion, persistence, and the joy of the journey.
