From a family tradition rooted in Ford mechanics to the Berlin tuner scene, Tarkan Ekici’s 2019 Focus MK4 ST-Line—known affectionately as Luna—is a stylish show car born out of personal legacy and pure passion. With a background that blends family heritage, hands-on creativity, and community-driven energy, Tarkan represents everything we celebrate in the Ford Fam.
A Ford Legacy Runs Deep
Tarkan’s love for Ford didn’t start behind the wheel—it started in the garage. His grandfather was a Ford mechanic, and his father followed suit. Growing up in a family where every wrench turn told a story, Tarkan naturally gravitated toward the Blue Oval. “We always had a Ford,” he says. “Now, I’m a Ford driver myself.”
While his professional life as a kindergarten teacher might not scream octane, it’s his passion for tuning and building that bridges those two worlds. His car, Luna, is more than just a daily—it’s a reflection of his creativity, drive, and appreciation for style.
A Daily Driver With Show Goals
Although he uses his Focus as a daily, the heart of his build is all about visual presence. With a modified diffuser, aggressive front spoiler, sporty exhaust, and a bold rear wing, Luna proudly reflects Tarkan’s vision. “Stock is cool, but doing something on your own car is just something else,” he says.
Even the wiring challenge for custom ambient lighting was a test of patience and passion. Four days of stripped interior panels and fiddly installs later, the effort paid off in a glowing reward.
Community Connection and Transformation
The car community in Berlin—and online—has played a key role in his journey. Tarkan’s first event was a defining moment. “My car was stock,” he recalls. “A week later I showed up with the diffuser, exhaust, and front spoiler—and the compliments made me so proud.” That transformation, and the recognition it earned, ignited a deeper fire to keep building.
He now connects with fellow enthusiasts through the “Rollingraccoons” community on Instagram and regularly attends events like entspannt im Sand, where show cars and friendships shine equally.
The Next Chapter for Luna
Tarkan’s future plans include new side skirts and tweaking his spoiler setup. And while he says tuning in Germany can be tricky, he’s staying focused on personal enjoyment. “It’s my daily car,” he emphasizes. “I just want to have fun.”
With the help of his father—who he credits as both mechanic and mentor—Tarkan keeps it all in the family, proving that passion can turn even modest builds into something special.
Advice to the Ford Fam
Tarkan’s message is simple: “Just love your car and have fun.” Whether it’s old, new, stock, or fully built, he believes every car has value and personality. “If old, new; if stock or tuned—every car is something special.”
