For Daniel Prudhoe from Newcastle upon Tyne, cars have always been a part of life. Growing up with a father who’s been a mechanic for over 45 years, his passion for cars started at an early age. Working as a PPF installer and detailer, Daniel spends his days surrounded by high-end and supercars, but his heart belongs to his 2018 Ford Focus RS Limited Edition.

Chasing the Dream: From Daily to Show Car

Daniel has always dreamed of owning a Focus RS, and when he finally got his hands on this limited edition model, it became his daily driver. While it’s currently a street car, Daniel has plans to slowly transition it into a street/show build. Inspired by legends like Ken Block and drift icons James Deane and Adam LZ, he wants to build something that makes a statement.

  • Engine: 2.3L EcoBoost, 350 BHP and 350 Nm Torque (stock).
  • Planned Upgrades: A big turbo kit with top-end modifications (studs, pistons, cams) to fully unlock the RS’s potential.
• Suspension & Handling:
  • Quaife LSD front diff gives the RS an edge in handling, making the most of its 4×4 power.
• Brakes & Wheels:
  • Stock 4-pot Brembo Nitro Blue brakes and factory wheels.
• Future Upgrades:
  • Daniel is working closely with RS Performance for tuning and other modifications. More upgrades are expected within the month, but the details remain hush-hush.

The Journey and Challenges

Daniel hasn’t faced any major issues yet, but he knows that fitting the upcoming parts will be an interesting challenge. His biggest struggle has been dealing with opinions from others—some love his plans, while others doubt the changes. However, Daniel’s approach is clear:
