When your passion for cars is part of your family legacy, it’s hard not to catch the automotive bug. For Jeremy Reckers, his love for Fords started young, fueled by his parents who always drove Fords. His journey into the world of Ford tuning began at the Ford Family Day event, where he was introduced to the community and got hooked on customizing cars. Since then, Jeremy has owned three Fords—a 2007 Focus, a 2015 Fiesta, and now his pride and joy, a 2018 Fiesta Mk8 ST-Line.
A Show Car with a Personal Touch
For Jeremy, cars aren’t just a mode of transportation—they’re a canvas for creativity. Working as an audiovisual technician, he spends most of his time around lighting and sound, but it’s his passion for car photography that really ties into his automotive interests. The creativity he brings to his work finds its way into his car builds, resulting in unique, eye-catching modifications.
His Fiesta is a show car through and through, but what really sets it apart is the handmade RS spoiler. When Jeremy started working on the spoiler, Maxton Design hadn’t released one yet, so he took on the challenge with his friends. Just as they finished, Maxton released theirs, but Jeremy’s version remained unique—custom-made with his personal touch.
Performance with a Subtle Edge
Under the hood, Jeremy’s Fiesta packs a punch with a few well-chosen upgrades:
- Open Air Intake
- Pro Hoses
- Turbo Dump Valve
- Stage 1 Tune by PerformanceBase
These tweaks bring his Fiesta to 145 hp and 232 Nm, giving it just the right amount of zest without sacrificing reliability. The exhaust note, crafted with the help of @krocustoms, adds a throaty growl that complements the car’s sporty aesthetic.
The car also sports TEC Wheels GT8 with green-painted brake calipers, which add a pop of color against the sleek bodywork. One of the biggest challenges was fitting the custom spoiler, but thanks to the expertise of @sakurasportscars, the project was completed perfectly.
Staying Connected with the Community
Jeremy is no stranger to the Ford community. In fact, he once co-founded a group called @fiesta_crew_nl with his friend @blackandbeasty. Although he eventually handed over leadership, his commitment to the scene remains strong. For Jeremy, it’s the sense of belonging and the shared passion that make every meet-up memorable. Whether it’s about cars or community, he finds inspiration in every gathering.
His advice to other Ford enthusiasts? “Stay creative!” Jeremy believes in pushing boundaries, and his unique take on customizing his Fiesta is proof that creativity can make a car truly one of a kind.
Future Plans for the Fiesta
Jeremy plans to continue refining his build. Upcoming upgrades include restoring some livery pieces and replacing the timing belt at the end of the year. Long-term, he dreams of attending Ford Fair and showcasing his car on a larger stage. But for now, his focus is keeping the car running smoothly and adding subtle improvements along the way.
Dealing with Criticism and Staying True to Himself
As with any build, Jeremy has faced his fair share of criticism, particularly from those who dislike the Ecoboost. But he doesn’t let that negativity get to him. “Just ignore it,” he says. The enthusiasm he sees from other car enthusiasts, especially when older people appreciate his work, keeps him motivated.
A Message to the Ford Fam
Jeremy’s final words to the community reflect his optimistic outlook:
“Keep up the great work and always thank you for the support. Keep supporting the progress!”
