When you think of the Ford Fiesta ST180, a pocket-sized hot hatch with a bite, you probably envision fun weekend drives and some spirited commuting. But for Caiden Thom, his 2016 Fiesta ST, fondly named STacy, is much more than a car—it’s a canvas for creativity, a symbol of his passion, and a bridge to a community of like-minded Ford enthusiasts.

A Build Born of Family Inspiration

Caiden grew up immersed in the world of fast Fords, thanks to his father, who owned a collection of Escorts during his youth. That family legacy sparked a dream in Caiden, fueling his ambition to build a fast Ford of his own. Today, as an apprentice IWOCS technician, Caiden combines his professional expertise in mechanical and automotive engineering with his passion, creating a car that’s a testament to both skill and perseverance.

“All the work on STacy has been done myself,” Caiden proudly states, showcasing his hands-on approach and dedication.

STacy’s Performance Arsenal

What makes STacy a standout is the meticulous selection of performance upgrades, turning this compact hatchback into a thrill machine.

  • Power Output: 220 bhp, with a rapid 0–60 mph time of 5.9 seconds.
  • Engine Mods: Stage 1 tune, Vudu Stage 2 intercooler, Stage 2 Airtec induction kit.
  • Enhanced Driving Dynamics: Vudu quickshifter, polybushed lower arms, and engine mount for tighter handling.
  • Exhaust: Full Milltek race system for an aggressive sound and improved airflow.

STacy doesn’t just perform; she dominates, delivering a driving experience that Caiden describes as “exhilarating and incredibly responsive.”

Aesthetic Masterpiece

Every detail of STacy’s exterior is crafted to make a statement. From the Delta front splitter to the Maxton side skirts and rear diffuser, Caiden’s attention to detail has given STacy a sharp, aggressive look. Complementing her performance is a lowered stance, thanks to H&R 35mm lowering springs, giving her a perfect blend of form and function.

A Journey Beyond the Car

For Caiden, the journey is as much about the people as it is about the car. As a proud member of Ford Fam and Ford Elite, he’s found a supportive community that shares his enthusiasm for fast Fords. In fact, it was through his love for cars that Caiden met his girlfriend, marking a milestone moment in his automotive journey.

“I’m grateful for the friendships and connections I’ve built through this passion,” Caiden shares.

Future Plans for STacy

Though STacy is already a head-turner, Caiden isn’t done yet. The car is currently undergoing a complete makeover, including a fresh paint job and additional upgrades that will undoubtedly elevate her performance and aesthetic appeal.

A Message from Caiden

To the Ford Fam, Caiden has a heartfelt message:
“Thanks for the continued support!”

Caiden’s story is a reminder of the power of passion, perseverance, and community. With STacy as a symbol of his creativity and dedication, Caiden inspires others to dream big and build boldly.
